Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park, Cornwall

Mother Ivey’s Bay has bagged a cracking spot on the north Cornwall coast, with the Atlantic practically filling the windows at selected accommodation. The park has direct access to its namesake sandy beach, while nearby Padstow supplies seafood lunches, harbour pottering and plenty of excuses for an ice cream.

Sandaway Beach Holiday Park, Devon

Sandaway doesn't merely have sea views. It sits high above the water at Combe Martin, so those big blue panoramas are part of the furniture. Better still, you can swap admiring the sea for getting into it, thanks to the park's secluded beach below.

There's an outdoor pool for less salty splashing, plus a bar and entertainment when you've finished exploring. Exmoor National Park and the spectacular North Devon coastline are waiting just beyond the gates.

Highlands End Holiday Park, Dorset

Perched above the Jurassic Coast near Bridport, Highlands End gives you the sort of sea views that can seriously delay breakfast. There are miles of coastline stretching out below, with footpaths leading straight from the park when you fancy seeing it at ground level.

Back on site, there's an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and pitch-and-putt, while the Martin's Bar & Restaurant sorts dinner. West Bay is nearby too, for beaches, harbour strolls and excellent fish and chips.

Old Mill Holiday Park, Isle of Wight

Old Mill takes a different approach to the classic clifftop sea view. Set above Bembridge Harbour, it mixes water, boats and coastline into one very watchable scene, particularly from the park's higher spots.

You're well placed for exploring the east of the Isle of Wight too, with Bembridge's beaches, village shops and coastal walks close at hand. It's a quieter base than some larger holiday parks, making it a winner when the agenda is mostly explore, eat, admire view, repeat.

Beach View Holiday Park, Suffolk

The clue isn't exactly hiding in the name. Beach View sits beside the Suffolk coast at Sizewell, with selected lodges serving up proper sea views from their decking. Step away from your front-row seat and the beach is right there for walks, paddling and brisk morning lungfuls of sea air.

The park also has an on-site bar and restaurant, while nearby Aldeburgh brings colourful seafront buildings, independent shops and famously good fish and chips into the equation.

Barmston Beach Holiday Park, Yorkshire

Barmston Beach puts you up on the Yorkshire clifftops, where the North Sea provides a rather dramatic backdrop to doing very little. When you've finished staring at it, head down to the beach or make use of the park's heated outdoor pool, playground and entertainment.

Bridlington is a short drive away for classic seaside fun, while Flamborough Head adds wildlife and serious walking territory. It's a handy choice for families who want views without sacrificing plenty to do.

Whitby Holiday Park, Yorkshire

Sea on one side, Whitby Abbey on the other – Whitby Holiday Park isn't short of things worth pointing your chair towards. Its clifftop position makes the coastline the star, while a nearby beach gives you an easy route down to sea level.

Whitby itself is close enough for harbour wandering, fish and chips and a climb up the famous 199 Steps. You can also tackle sections of the Cleveland Way directly from the area, should lunch require working off.

Elmbank Coastal Park, Northumberland

At Elmbank, the North Sea isn't some distant blue smudge on the horizon. This coastal park near Berwick-upon-Tweed has accommodation positioned to take advantage of the water views, including options with decking for maximum gawping potential.

Berwick's historic walls, beaches and handsome town centre are nearby, and you're brilliantly placed for bigger Northumberland adventures too. Bamburgh, Holy Island and a coastline stuffed with castles make this an especially good base for anyone who struggles to sit still.

Quay West Holiday Park, Wales

Quay West has a prime perch above Cardigan Bay, with New Quay and its harbour tucked below and a huge sweep of sea beyond. There's direct beach access, but plenty can keep you occupied on site too, including indoor and outdoor pools, activities and entertainment.

New Quay itself is a cracking little seaside town for food and boat trips, with dolphins regularly spotted in the bay. Yes, even the local wildlife seems keen on the view around here.

Lydstep Beach Holiday Park, Tenby

Lydstep Beach puts the Pembrokeshire coast right outside the door, with the park wrapped around a sheltered bay and plenty of accommodation enjoying watery outlooks.

Days can start on the beach, continue with a swim in the indoor pool and finish with dinner overlooking the bay. Tenby is just along the coast when you fancy pastel-coloured streets and harbour action, while the Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers a more energetic way to appreciate all that scenery.

Eyemouth Holiday Park, Scotland

Eyemouth Holiday Park sits above this Scottish Borders fishing town, delivering big North Sea views without leaving you miles from civilisation. Wander downhill and you've got Eyemouth's harbour, beach and cafés to investigate, while the park itself offers a playground and entertainment.

Divers and wildlife fans have another reason to visit, with this stretch of coastline known for its rich marine life. And when exploring is done? Back uphill for a cuppa with the sea doing its thing outside.

Wemyss Bay Holiday Park, Scotland

Wemyss Bay trades crashing Atlantic drama for something altogether different: wide views across the Firth of Clyde, with the hills beyond adding extra layers to the scenery.

The park has an indoor pool, entertainment and plenty for families, but its location is the real trick. Ferries leave Wemyss Bay for the Isle of Bute, turning an ordinary day out into a mini island adventure. Glasgow is within reach too, giving you coast, countryside and city possibilities from one base.
